CROSSMINER International Workshop

In June 2019, CROSSMINER held an international workshop focused on the project and tools to help developers in selecting open source components for reuse and integration. The workshop was organized as a break-out session in the framework of the OW2con 2019 conference. The workshop was structured in three parts. The first part focused on commercially supported tools by Bitergia (Spain), CodeScoop (Finland) and WhiteSource (Israel). The second part was dedicated to CROSSMINER and included the following talks:

• Project introduction by Philippe Krief, Eclipse Foundation

• GrimoireLab platform demonstration by Valerio Cosentino, Bitergia

• Use case presentation including a ProSoul demonstration by Cedric Thomas, OW2

The third part was open exchange between participants. Revealing questions about the availability of the tools and use case methodology developed by CROSSMINER reflected the interest raised by the project among participants several of them willing to be invited to beta test the platform. This workshop was a great dissemination action for CROSSMINER with some 20 participants from Finland, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
